S&D's FAQs We know that choosing the right nursery for your family is a big decision, and that you might have lots of questions – we’re always here to answer any you may have along the way if you can’t find what you’re looking for here! We’ve put together this helpful list of FAQ’s so that you can find clear, honest answers about life inside our nurseries.
How do I arrange a visit? If you would like to arrange a visit to view one of our settings, all you need to do is go to the nurseries page that you wish to visit and, on their homepage, you’ll find a contact number and email. We do have an open-door policy and always welcome parents to visit the settings without an appointment. Please do be aware that for appointments that have not been arranged prior, we will always aim to make a team member available to show you around, however due to staff to child ratios this may not always be possible, and an alternative viewing time may be arranged.
How do I make an enquiry? To make an enquiry all you need to do is go to the nurseries page that you wish to enquire for, click their ‘contact’ page and an email enquiry form should come up. Fill this out and a member of staff from that setting will contact you.
Are you Ofsted registered? Yes – all our settings are registered with Ofsted. The Ofsted registration number can be found on the Ofsted report for each setting, on each individual website page or alternatively you can call the setting directly to gain this information.
What happens if I am delayed collecting my child? Sometimes parents and carers are unavoidably delayed when collecting their child/ren. Please let us know as soon as possible by phoning the setting to avoid any unnecessary concerns. Our staff will make arrangements to look after your child until you arrive. Standard fees are applied if your child is collected late and, in some circumstances, a late fee will be applied to your account if you arrive after closing time.
What sessions do you offer? We aim to offer a variety of sessions that suit each individual family’s needs: All day session – 7.30am - 6.00pm Morning session – 7.30am - 12.30pm Afternoon session – 1.00pm – 6.00pm Family Friendly session – 8.30am – 3.30pm
Do I need to book a minimum number of sessions? No, there is no minimum number of sessions you need to book for your child. We do, however, advise you book more than 1 session across the week to help your child settle into nursery and have access to all our extra-curricular activities we have to offer!
